We realize that sometimes circumstances change, and you need to find a new home for your dog. We can help in two ways. First, if it is an emergency situation and if we have a foster home available, we can take your dog into our rescue program. We only take purebred Border Collies into our foster homes. The dogs don't need papers, but they do need to look purebred. They also must be spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations. Secondly, if this isn't an emergency or if you have a Border Collie mix, we will be happy to place your dog's picture and description on the OWNER'S PAGE of our website and prospective adopters contact you directly. This is usually the best situation for the dog as they can stay in their familiar surroundings until a new home has been found.

AT THIS TIME ALL OF OUR FOSTER HOMES ARE FULL! WE WILL BE HAPPY TO PLACE YOUR DOG ON OUR WEBSITE. PLEASE SEND THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION.
TO PLACE YOUR DOG ON OUR WEBSITE, we will need the following: A good photo of the dog, a brief description
such as name, age and the likes and dislikes of the dog ( cats, kids, other
dogs, etc,) the first name, phone number and email address of a contact person. We also need proof of spay or neuter, either a certificate from your veterinarian or your veterinarian's phone number (we will need the last name of the person the dog is listed under at the Animal Hospital so we can confirm the information). All of this information can be sent by email to
sassybc@cox.net or you can snail mail it to: Border Collie Rescue P.O. Box
20854 El Cajon, CA 92021.
PLEASE PUT
"OWNERS" PAGE IN THE SUBJECT LINE
SUGGESTION: For the best photos - try to take a picture of your dog from the dogs level.
If you have any questions, please email sassybc@cox.net
WE HOPE THIS WILL HELP.
We do this as a service and don't ask for anything in return. If you find a new home for your dog and would like to make a donation to Border Collie Rescue, we would appreciate it very much.
